Benefits of Membership

d. a maximum of three hours of web continuing education (CE) per year included in the membership. You can print your own CE logs but no transcripts, letters or certificates will be issued for the continuing education hours. .
e. free membership verification and acupuncture training verification for professional organizations, billing agencies, and regulatory colleges.
f. annual small certificate emailed to you along with membership receipt.
g. our fellowship designation (FCAMA) is recognized by the Canadian Medical Directory

Certificant Members
Health care professionals who have successfully completed Level or Unit 1 and its examination of the McMaster Medical Acupuncture Program: An Evidence-based Approach.
Our certificant members may use the following initials behind their names CCAMA to mean Certificant of the Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture if membership is active and all dues are paid. Active membership requires accredited continuing acupuncture education of at least 3 hours per year or 6 hours over 2 years. New graduates of the acupuncture program are exempted from this requirement for 2 years since they just completed the training. This minimum requirement for continuing acupuncture education fulfils many insurance companies' or regulatory bodies' criteria for continuing acupuncture education.
Fellow Members
| Health care professionals who have
been a member in good standing for at least 2 years and successfully
completed Level or Unit 1 and 2 with the examinations of the McMaster
Medical Acupuncture Program: An Evidence-based Approach. Fellowship
applications need to meet the minimum criteria on the application form,
be nominated by 3 existing fellow members and approved by the
board. Please contact us for the application package.
Honourary Fellowship to any person who has contributed significantly, as determined by the board, to the teaching or administration of the McMaster Medical Acupuncture Program: An Evidence-based Approach. Membership Application Form
Membership is by invitation only and this application will not be processed
without:
a. Photocopy of current license
b. Curriculum Vitae or Resume
c. New membership fees (membership fee will not be prorated)
i.. Earlybird fee for new graduates of level 1 (available within 30 days of completing exam): $195
ii.. Regular membership fee: $395
iii.. All new members will receive a large 11" x 17" wall certificate
d.. Membership renewal fees (membership fee will not be prorated) Note: To renew your membership at the rate of $50/year, you must register for 5 years at a time.
i. Single-year membership renewal: $195/year
ii. Multi-year membership renewal:
a.. 2 year membership: $200 (Equivalent to $100/year for 2 years)
b.. 5 year membership: $250 (Equivalent to $50/year for 5 years)
e. The cost to order or replace a large 11"x17" wall certificate for display is $75
f. To pay by credit card, please complete the credit card authorization form and e-mail or fax it to our office. Alternatively, you could make a cheque payable to the Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
